Review:

Ok, I'll be honest. My initial reaction was "a cyborg Cinderella? eh....I don't know about this...." I generally am not big on the cyborg scene -  a little too sci fi for me. But, I kept reading all these rave reviews, so I decided to listen to my fellow bloggers. I am glad I did! It was such a fabulous and unique retelling of the Cinderella story perfect for today's dystopian fans!

I loved Cinder! She is a perfect example of a strong female protagonist. I think that fans of Katniss of The Hunger Games will adore her as well. I mean, she's a mechanic, after all - pretty cool! But, she has a really awesome soft side as well. She is very much mistreated by her stepmother (of course - this IS a cinderella story after all), and one of her step sisters is pretty awful, but the other step sister she is very protective of. When she gets sick, it's pretty easy to see how deep Cinder's love for her is.

This is only the first of a 4 part series...(waaaah, the next is almost a whole year away!!!). The romance with Prince Kai was barely touched upon in this book. But, I'm sure there will be more on that in the next book. I am certainly intrigued by him and am dying to know what happens next! There is a definite cliff hanger at the end of the book as we find out some background information about Cinder....you will just have to read the book to find out what that is!

What are you waiting for?? Go get it now! :)

I didn't give this book try either because of the cyborg princess aspect. But I haven't heard one bad review about this book yet, so I'm definitley buying it as soon as I can!

I was initially thrown off by the cyborg thing too, but loved CINDER in the end. Such a unique take on a very familiar tale. Loved it! :D

Huh, I've seen Cinder around everywhere, but a lot like you I was like... huh, cyborg? No thanks. But I'm really glad that she's a strong female protagonist! That's something that can make or break a book for me. I'm super excited to read it now!
